§ Mr. David HuntThe scheme applies to persons made redundant from a coal mine or from the employment of a coking plant operator (at a coking plant). The scheme also applies to those made redundant from various prescribed places, as listed in the statutory instrument, but only where activities in that place have been reduced or ended as a result of the closure of or reduction in manpower at a mine or plant. The statutory instrument lists the types of establishment covered by the scheme; it does not name the establishments.
