HC Deb 24 June 1985 vol 81 cc290-1W
Mr. Gordon Brown

asked the Prime Minister if she will list those public sector companies and operations which are to be sold in part or in whole in the financial years (a) 1985–86, (b) 1986–87 and (c) 1987–88.

The Prime Minister

It is not the Government's practice to disclose future special sales of assets for individual years because advance details may be commercially sensitive and may depend also on decisions yet to be taken, and market conditions. Forecast receipts from special sales of assets are set out each year in the public expenditure White Paper and in the Chancellor of the Exchequer's Autumn Statement.
