Member for Mid-Sussex (Mr. Renton), to the hon. Member for Islington, North regarding the death of Mr. Peter Nadin in Greece.
§ Mr. RentonYes. The text is as follows
In my reply to your Parliamentary question on 25 March, I said that I would write to you when a reply was received from the Greek authorities following further representations made by our Embassy about the case of Mr. Peter Nadin.>The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs have now made available copies, with translations, of the papers from the police files dealing with the death of Mr. Nadin. I enclose copies of these documents a set of which has also been sent to Croydon Coroner's Court. Our Consular Department have written to Mr. Nadin's widow informing her of this. The papers do not give many details of the events leading up to Mr. Nadin's death. However, our Consul reports that the Public Prosecutor on Syrob has promised to review the case and to send the Embassy his findings through the Ministry of Justice. The Public Prosecutor gave no indication of when this is likely to be but I will write to you again when his findings have been received.
