HC Deb 24 June 1985 vol 81 cc337-8W
Mr. Cohen

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will estimate the incidence and trend of breast cancer in women; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

[pursuant to his reply, 11 June 1985, c. 43738]: The figures should have read as follows:

There were 13,277 deaths (520.27 per million female population) from breast cancer in England and Wales in 1984, and 21,164 (830.80 per million female population) registrations reported to cancer registries in 1981.
