§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) if he will list the number of drug addicts in the west midlands county notified to his Department in each single year since 1979;
(2) how many drug addicts were notified to his Department in each single year since 1979.
§ Mr. Mellorhe information requested for the years 1979 to 1983 is given in tables 3.11 to 3.13 of "Statistics of the Misuse of Drugs, United Kingdom, Supplementary Tables, 1983." The only statistics at present available for 1984 are given in the reply to a question from my hon. Friend the Member for Westminster, North (Mr. Wheeler) on 11 June at columns394–95.
