§ Sir George YoungAs at May 1985, 2,788 civilians were employed by contractors engaged on the Mount Pleasant airport project in the Falkland Islands and the associated project to provide garrison facilities and a port. A further 54 civilians were employed on these projects by PSA. No specific records are kept of the United Kingdom regional origins of these civilians.
