§ Mr. Andrew F. Bennettasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will publish the latest pupil-teacher ratio for England, excluding head teachers.
§ Mr. DunnThe overall pupil-teacher ratio in maintained nursery, primary and secondary schools in January 1984 was 17.9. If head teachers are excluded, exceptionally, from the calculation it is estimated that a ratio of 19.1 is produced for January 1984.
