§ Mr. Cartwrightasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how he proposes to ensure that members of the Professional Association of Teachers are to be involved in consultation on superannuation issues.
§ Mr. DunnMy right hon. Friend is required to consult representatives of local education authorities and of68W teachers and of such other persons as appear to him to be appropriate before making regulations under the Superannuation Act 1972. Because the teachers superannuation working party does not include all relevant interests, my right hon. Friend does not regard its deliberations as fulfilling his duty and accordingly he consults separately with the Professional Association of Teachers and certain other bodies not represented on the working about proposed new and amending regulations.
