If they will make a statement about their proposals for the administration and servicing of the outstanding debt of the Greater London Council and the metropolitan county councils following their abolition.

I refer my noble friend to the answer given by the Minister for Local Government in another House on 16th November 1984 [Official Report, Commons; cols. 376–380]. The proposals contained in that answer will form the basis for the administration and servicing of the outstanding debt of the Greater London Council and the metropolitan county councils following abolition.
