HC Deb 18 June 1985 vol 81 c97W
Mr. Greenway

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if when he next meets the chairman of British Rail he will raise with him the reason for a charge being levied for the carriage of bicycles on weekdays on intercity 125 trains.

Mr. David Mitchell

This is a matter for BR. My hon. Friend may wish to take it up with the chairman direct. I understand that BR makes charges for the carriage of bicycles on some inter-city 125 trains because they have very limited luggage space.
