§ Mr. William Rossasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will publish in the Official Report an account of the steps taken to restock the River Roe and its tributary the Owenreagh River after the accidental poisoning of the river and the annual costs of the restocking programme to date, and if he will indicate the success of the programme and whether the insect and fish life has yet recovered.
§ Dr. Boyson[pursuant to his reply, 12 June 1985, c. 478] Following the accidental chemical spillage from Caugh Hill water treatment works in 1982, a biological survey was carried out and an extensive electro-fishing survey was jointly undertaken by the Department of Agriculture for Northern Ireland and the Foyle Fisheries Commission, in the light of the information from these and subsequent surveys, the following fish stocks have been placed in the Rivers Roe and Owenreagh.
