asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has any long-term proposals in respect of "H" wing at Durham prison; and if he will make a statement.

My right hon. and learned Friend has no plans which affect the role of H wing, Durham prison. Its use for female prisoners is, however, kept under constant review.
