§ Mr. Clifford Forsytheasked the Secretary of State for Transport what efforts are being made, following the publication of Cmnd. 9542, "Airports Policy", to liberalise regulations and increase the scope for new services for Northern Ireland.
§ Mr. Michael SpicerNorthern Ireland has already benefited from the Government's commitment to greater competition on domestic air services. We are also actively seeking more liberal arrangements for international air services, particularly in Europe, from which it could benefit. In addition, we are already to discuss with airport authorities in Northern Ireland how we can help with their development, including the introduction of new services.
