§ Mr. Peter MorrisonThe Manpower Services Commission is continuing discussions with employers, trade unions and others about the extension of the youth training scheme, and hopes to make detailed recommendations by the end of June.

The Confederation of British Industry is closely involved in the preparation by the Manpower Services Commission of proposals for a two-year youth training scheme; and I have recently attended three regional conferences organised by the confederation at which the development of the scheme was discussed.
