§ Mr. DunnThe White Paper "Better Schools" (Cmnd. 9469) sets out the Government's proposals for reaching broad national agreement about the objectives of the curriculum for all pupils, including a more precise definition than exists at present of the desired levels of attainment for pupils of differing abilities at the ages of 11 and 16. Publications such as those in Her Majesty's inspectorate's "Curriculum Matters" series have an important part to play in this process.
