§ Dr. Glynasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what consultations he intends to have with other Governments to ensure that every assistance is given to the United Kingdom in dealing with political refugees seeking entry to the United Kingdom in large numbers.
§ Mr. WaddingtonWe are in regular contact on these matters with other Western European countries and other countries with similar concerns and with the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. We do not believe that a separate initiative is called for in present circumstances.
