§ Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will announce the names of chairmen and members of the study groups to examine the possible changes in the negotiation arrangements between the Government and the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeIn the past few weeks we have concluded negotiations with the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC) into a new contract for NHS community pharmacists. I understand that the PSNC will be recommending acceptance of the Government's final offer to the conference of local pharmaceutical committees to be held on 23 June. The details of the implementation of the new contract proposals, including the composition of the proposed study group, will be considered by the Government and PSNC if, as we hope, the conference of LPCs votes to accept the offer.
