§ Mr. ScottI and my ministerial colleagues take every opportunity, in our statements, correspondence and media interviews, to explain the reason for and nature of strip-searching. In addition my right hon. Friend has today published a booklet setting out the facts in full. This will be distributed widely in the United Kingdom and abroad; and I have arranged for copies to be made available to the House.
