HC Deb 03 June 1985 vol 80 c64W
Mr. McNamara

asked the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to the answer to the hon. Member for Beverley (Sir P. Wall) on 23 May, Official Report, column 501, about the new trainer aircraft for the Royal Air Force, if he will investigate the circumstances in which a misunderstanding arose between his Department and British Aerospace; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Butler

As I explained in my reply of 23 May 1985 to my hon. Friend the Member for Beverley (Sir P. Wall) at column 501, the matter has been fully discussed between my Department and British Aerospace and is now regarded as closed by both sides. There is therefore no need for any further investigation.
