International Year of the Child (1979): £ 1979–80 13,120 1980–81 1,880 International Year of the Disabled (1981):
The Department has made none; the Government's main financial contribution has been channelled through the Department of Health and Social Security.
International Youth Year (1985):
Grant aid to the International Youth Year National Co-ordinating Committee for England.
£ 1982–83 1,350 1983–84 25,000 1984–85 107,500 1985–86 115,000 Grants for various projects being undertaken by youth organisations — £26,000. In addition, the Department has supported and pursued a range of more general initiatives, projects and developments related to each of these international years.
