§ Mr. Hickmetasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will place in the Library a copy of the National Economic Development Office report on evidence about the follow-on benefits arising from projects gained with export subsidies as referred to in paragraph 4.3 of the report by the Comptroller and Auditor General on fixed rate export finance; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. LawsonA copy of the National Economic Development Office report on "Follow-on business arising from Government export support" has been placed in the Library. I understand that a copy has already been sent to the Public Accounts Committee in connection with its inquiry into fixed rate export finance. The Government will respond to any report it makes in the normal way.
