§ Mr. Chapman
asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list those district councils 827W which have (a) adopted the 1984 model byelaw relating to straw and stubble burning and (b) adopted or will adopt before this summer's harvest, the 1985 model byelaw.

Two hundred and ten local authorities have adopted the 1984 straw and stubble burning byelaws, and to date 11 authorities are in the process of adopting the 1985 model byelaws circulated to local authorities on 21 June. The local authorities are as follows:
