Mr. Willie W. Hamilton

asked the Lord Privy Seal if he will publish in the Official Report a table showing present salaries of all those officers of the House of Commons and the House of Lords who will receive increases following acceptance of the Top Salaries Review Board proposals, showing the increases in each case.

The present salaries of those officers of the House of Commons and the House of Lords who correspond to Civil Service Grades 1, 2 and 3 are as follows:

All salaries shown include £1,365 p.a. inner London weighting except those marked *.

The Treasury is currently promulgating the revised salaries for these grades and information will be available on request from the Libraries of both Houses in due course. Implementation of a Civil Service pay award for House of Commons staff would be made automatically under pay linkage arrangements agreed in 1954; formal authorisation of rates of pay for Officers of the House of Lords is a matter for the House of Lords Offices Committee.
