HC Deb 26 July 1985 vol 83 c889W
Mr. Winnick

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps are taken by his officials to keep up-to-date records of circumstances where urgent improvement work is needed to public sector dwellings and local authorities state they do not have the resources to carry out the necessary work.

Sir George Young

My Department has recently asked all English housing authorities to complete a return, detailing the expenditure they consider is needed on their own housing, their estimated expenditure in 1985–86 on the works identified, and their proposed programme for 1986–87. The returns from this inquiry are currently being analysed.
