Mr. Nicholson

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (1) how many adults and school leavers were placed in employment by the jobcentres in Armagh in 1984;

(2) how many adults and school leavers were placed in employment by the jobcentre in Newry during 1984.

Separate information is not available for school leavers, who are included in the figure for young persons aged under 18. In 1984, 542 adults and 202 young persons were placed in employment through the Jobmarket in Armagh city or its sub-office in Keady, and 680 adults and 246 young persons were placed in employment through the Jobmarket in Newry town or its sub-offices in Crossmaglen, Forkhill, Newtownhamilton and Warrenpoint.
