asked the Secretary of State for Wales what has been the percentage change in the level of housing subsidy to local authorities in Wales between 1979–80 and 1984–85 in real and cash terms.

The level of housing subsidies paid to local authorities in Wales has reduced by 88 per cent. between 1979–80 and 1984–85. This represents a reduction of 92 per cent. in real terms.
