§ Mr. WaddingtonThe group on tourism and leisure which met under the chairmanship of my noble Friend the Minister without Portfolio published its report "Pleasure, Leisure and Jobs" on 22 July. As announced in paragraph 61 of that report the Government
is looking at ways of giving higher priority to manpower adjustment where the costs of providing extra facilities are fully met by commercial operators".My officials will be following this up with those concerned in the light also of the related recommendation by the Home Affairs Committee in its report on the immigration and nationality department (6th report, 1984–85).
