§ Mr. Freudasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science, pursuant to his reply to the hon. Member for Cambridgeshire North-East of 16 July, whether he is satisfied that no local education authorities are currently levying charges for the participation in activities which constitute part of the school curriculum, in contravention of section 61(1) of the Education Act 1944.
§ Mr. DunnMy right hon. Friend has made it clear that all complaints about possible breaches of section 61 will be fully investigated. No such complaints in respect of action by LEAs are currently before the Department.
