asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will publish in the Official Report his latest estimate of the proportion of revenue from taxation accounted for by the different categories of tax on the same basis as in his written answer dated 25 November 1983, Official Report, columns 315–6; and if he will provide similar figures for 1979 and 1973.

outturn for the planning total; but the reserve, which was increased from £3 billion to £5 billion at the time of the budget, is expected to be adequate to meet claims on it. An estimate for the outturn on the public expenditure planning total in 1984–85, and hence the claims on the reserve in that year, was published in the Financial Statement and Budget Report.
