§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will take steps to review the working of the Race Relations Act 1967 with regard to its use to restrict recruiting of Welsh-speaking people to work in homes for elderly people or homes for mentally handicapped people in predominantly Welsh-speaking parts of Wales.
§ Mr. WaddingtonNo. I am aware of the hon. Member's concern about a particular case, but on present information, we are not persuaded that there is a need for any action on our part.
