§ Mr. Allan StewartThe post of director of the royal Scottish museum is graded as mobile. The director of the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland is appointed by the board of trustees for that museum. All employees of the trustees are treated for all practical purposes (including pay and conditions of service) as if they are civil servants, and therefore the post of director is graded mobile.
