§ Lord Broxbourneasked Her Majesty's Government:
Whether they are aware of the difficulties being experienced by British Citizens resident in North Cyprus in establishing their freehold title to property which they have lawfully contracted to purchase; and whether they will make representations to the authorities there requesting them to take the necessary action to achieve a satisfactory and speedy solution.
§ The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Baroness Young)We are well aware of these difficulties and have made repeated representations about them. We will continue to do so until the problem is solved.
