§ 42. Mr. Norman Atkinsonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will seek the assistance of the United States Government to persuade Turkey to conclude an agreement setting up the Federal Republic of Cyprus.
§ Mr. RentonWe remain in close touch with the United States Government, which shares our concern about the situation in Cyprus. Like us, they actively support the United Nations Secretary-General's current initiative.
