§ Sir Geoffrey HoweThe Milan European Council on 28–29 June held an exchange of views on the recent letter from the council for Mutual Economic Assistance to the Commission, which proposed the resumption of mutual relations. The European Council noted that an exploratory mandate had been given to the Commission, and considered that the results of these contacts should now be awaited.
