Mr. Hancock

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) what proportion of people held on remand in the period 1983 to the latest available date were not finally convicted of an offence;

(2) what proportion of people held on remand over six months in the period 1983 to the latest available date, were found not guilty of an alleged offence.
