§ Mr. MellorInformation on the number of narcotic drug addicts notified to the Home Office in the years 1975 to 1983 is given in table 9 of "Statistics of the Misuse of Drugs in the United Kingdom, 1983". (Home Office Statistical Bulletin 18/84). The only information currently available for 1984 was given in reply to a question from my hon. Friend the Member for Westminster, North (Mr. Wheeler) on 11 June 1985 at columns394–95. There is no requirement to register alcoholics.
