HC Deb 18 July 1985 vol 83 c209W
Mr. Corbyn

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) how many staff in the House have been occupied in preparing Westminster Hall and other facilities for the American Bar Association's function;

(2) what is the cost of preparing Westminster Hall for the American Bar Association's functions to be held there;

(3) how much money has been paid by the American Bar Association for the preparation of Westminister Hall for its function.

Sir George Young

26 staff of the Property Services Agency were involved in the preparations. I have no information relating to staff of the two Houses, which is a matter for the authorities of those Houses. The estimated cost, including PSA's staff costs, of preparing Westminster Hall is £22,250 and this sum is to be refunded in full by the American Bar Association.
