§ 20. Mr. Lambieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will discuss with Strathclyde regional council a new roads programme to connect Ayrshire with the main Scottish motorway system.
§ Mr. AncramImprovements to trunk roads A75, A76, A77 and A78 are in preparation. The development of the local road network is a matter for Strathclyde regional council. I would naturally consider carefully any proposals that the region puts to me in its periodic transport policies and programme statements.
