§ Mr. Maxwell-Hyslopasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what additional funding he envisages that his Department will make available to finance the replacement of the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital, Wonford, in the light of dangers arising from aggregate reaction.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeThe South Western regional health authority and Exeter health authority are urgently considering what needs to be done to replace the parts of the hospital that are unsound and to ensure the safety of the building in the meantime. They are also considering the legal position. We have asked the regional health authority to report on their plans and on the financial implications of these by February 1986. We will not be able to make any firm decision on funding until we have seen this report.
