§ Mr. Butler[pursuant to his reply, 24 June 1985, c. 291]: During the Financial Year 1984–85, direct headquarters contracts and amendments to a value of nearly £38 million were placed for equipment classified under the code 373 (optical precision instruments and photographic equipment) of the standard industrial classification. Other optical equipment is classified under a SIC code for electronic equipment and cannot be separately identified.
