asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) how many vehicles, which are not chargeable with vehicle excise duty by virtue of regulation 27 of the Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) Regulations 1971, are in the possession of each police authority in England and Wales;

(2) how many vehicles which are not chargeable with vehicle excise duty by virtue of regulation 27 of the Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) Regulations 1971, are in the possession of each local authority in England and Wales.
