§ Mr. RentonHer Majesty's embassy in Santiago maintains contact with a wide variety of opinion in Chile and reports regularly on human rights issues. As I indicated to the House on 26 June, at column 407, we wish to encourage the process of restoring democratic freedoms in Chile.
