§ Mr. ChannonThe Government recognise that some developing countries may prefer aid in the form of loans, rather than grants supplemented by export credits, to finance their major projects. The Government are therefore discussing with the financial community mechanisms to provide such loans under the aid and trade provision with the overseas aid programme.
