§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list those long-stay hospitals in Wales which have resident in them young mentally handicapped persons under the age of 16 years; and what is the number of such persons at each hospital and the date when that hospital last admitted such a person.
§ Mr. Wyn RobertsProvisional estimates of the numbers of persons aged under 16 years who were resident in mental handicap hospitals and units on 5 April 1985 are contained in the following table. Information as to the date when a hospital/unit last admitted a person aged under 16 years is readily available only in respect of admissions during the period January 1975 to April 1985.
