§ Mr. Peter MorrisonThe Department's guidance to local education authorities advises them to seek to ensure that careers officers establish good relationships with employers and their organisations, trade unions and training institutions in order to build up detailed knowledge of occupations and working environments, employment opportunities and training schemes. This applies to all fields of work including the leisure industries. If my hon. Friend knows of any particular problem I would be pleased to hear from him.
