§ Mr. NewtonAs is indicated in paragraph 6.19 of volume 2 of the Green Paper on the reform of social security, we are looking generally at the scope for greater simplicity and uniformity in social security procedures and operations. We have therefore decided not to implement this proposal for the time being, but to give it further consideration in this wider context.
