A joint Home Office/Metropolitan police review team is currently examining the possibility of contracting out, under police supervision, both the wheel clamping and vehicle removal operations currently undertaken by Metropolitan police employees. My right hon. and learned Friend expects to receive the team's recommendations shortly.
