HL Deb 05 July 1985 vol 465 cc1467-8WA
Lord Melchett

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What advice they received from the Forestry Commission about the clause originally in the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (Amendment) Bill which would have placed a duty on the Forestry Commission to "further" conservation interests.

Lord Skelmersdale

It is standard practice not to release details of advice provided to Ministers from Government departments.
