§ Mr. AncramFinal figures for 1984–85 are not yet available. The estimated income received from dog licences in Scotland was £65,625 and the cost of collection was £249,550. This is based on an estimate of 175,000 licences.
The Government are considering the responses to their consultation paper on the future arrangeements for dog licensing in Great Britain. The result of this consideration will be announced as soon as possible.
