§ Mr. David MitchellI met a delegation from Tyne and Wear county council, which was accompanied by the director general and certain other officers of the PTE, to discuss the Tyne and Wear metro on 14 May. Discussions about the metro are continuing between my officials and 73W those of the passenger transport executive, and I will be ready to meet Tyne and Wear representatives again whenever it appears such a meeting would be useful.
